What frustrated me most as a pro trainer after working in gyms for 10 years was that I never really knew what my clients were doing in the 165 hours they weren’t in session with me. 
In over 10,000 sessions as a fitpro, I eventually became burnt out with my clients not getting the results they deserved to have.

A New Paradigm

After stretching my coaching practice to include Group Training, Corrective Exercise, Functional Diagnostic Nutrition, Metabolic Typing, and getting certified in handfuls of other fitness and wellness courses, I still intuitively felt that something was missing from my toolset:
Increased client accountability.
The one thing that coaching and training for over a decade has taught me, is that to have knowledge is one thing, but to execute on that knowledge is another.
On a higher level, the uncomfortable truth in the wellness and fitness industry today is that there is a massive gap between knowing what to do and having the system in place to actually do it.
This is where Digital Health Coaching has changed the playing field.

Personal Gold

After seeing the power of digital health applications and devices in late 2014 during a screening of the film "Personal Gold," I drove home with the seed planted for an ultimate coaching "ah-ha" moment.
On the way home that night, I thought about how the 2012 USA Olympic Women's Cycling team had won a silver medal using quantified self, digital health and mHealth.
Then, a lighting bolt shot through my brain:
I realized that the very same wellness technology that can help win medals for athletes has the ubiquitous power to help change poor health habits for regular people.
This began a 16 month journey in searching for the "dream ecosystem" where I'd be able to coach clients using the data their bodies created. After hunting, failing, and getting knocked down, I finally found a platform called "Nudge Coach" that changed my coaching and my business forever.
